University used the BX-897 (Movie/Action Box) as a motivational mailing piece to their 1,500 home based sales representatives Their theme was “To Be a Star”. The representatives were given goals with target dates, classes and session deadlines. Boxes were screened with a special grey UV ink that allowed individual sales representatives to use the dry erase makers (included in the box) to write in their target dates and goals as they changed.DeVry

The package included a package of microwave popcorn, a dry erase marker and a letter outlining the goals and procedures to follow.  The boxes were packed, shrink wrapped and mailed to the homes of all the representatives. 

This unique mailer arrived to a curious and then enthusiastic sales force.

I found this article while doing my daily news media outlet rounds, and it really took me by surprise.  Living very close to the Atlantic coastline, and essentially spending my summers there, I would never imagine the magnitude of an Atlantic Ocean Garbage Patch?!

The NIA Center at Kalahari Resort sent out an invitation in a can to a targeted group of meeting planners. The tour offered author Jack Canfield (Author of “Chick Soup for the Soul”) as the keynote speaker. Thus, the Chicken Soup can as the mailer. The first 596 meeting planners to respond were also offered a free night at the Kalahari Resort. Registration for the tour filled the free rooms within 2 days with another 760 registrations following.

Meeting planners showed up and have started booking conferences there in groves.

Recently a study was taken of 1,005 consumers to evaluate the action, reaction and relationship of promotional products and their recipients. The people involved in this study recalled receiving a promotional product in the last 24 months.

Here are are some interesting point we came across:
